ORDAINED BISHOP 28th March 2001

BACKGROUND: Born 15th April 1950 at Cowes on the Isle of Wight. Studied at St Edmund's College, Ware, and Royal Holloway College. First appointment: assistant priest to St John's Cathedral, Portsmouth (4 years); Secretary to Bishop Anthony Emery(4 years); Adult RE Advisor of Portsmouth diocese(8years) and parish priest at Bishop's Waltham, Hants and Sacred Heart, Bournemouth parishes. In 1990 appointed Administrator of Portsmouth Cathedral and Moderator of Curia. Vicar General of diocese (1995) and also parish priest of Abingdon parish.

Member of Dept for Mission and Unity, Chairman of Committee for Evangelisation and Member of English Anglican Roman Catholic Committee.
