LEARN PEACEMAKING SKILLS
Those interested in being peacemakers at a grassroots level in their communities - or families would benefit from the insights of Roy Calvocoressi and CHIPS (Christian International Peace Service). Drawing on long experience in the field and interesting biblical insights Roy and his team will be running a series of day long seminars this autumn in Bristol, Guildford and London. Mothers' Prayer Video available
Pam Rhodes and the crew of "Songs of Praise" who filmed a 6 minute slot about Mothers' Prayers for the BBC programme in the spring have helped the movement produce a 30 minute video about their work for interested members. Catholic Cultural Festival
Look out for the annual festival of Catholic Culture held at Westminster Cathedral Hall on Ambrosden Avenue near Victoria station on November 15th which opens its doors at 10 am and runs all day.There are bookstalls, displays from a wide range of Catholic groups and organisations, talks and workshops and choral music, as well as monastic produce. A good place to browse and meet friends.

FRANCISCAN FRIARS OF THE RENEWAL TOUR IRELAND
Franciscan Friars of the RenewalFr Benedict Groeschel CFR and his radical band of Franciscans from the Bronx in New York toured Ireland for the month of July visiting Clare, Limerick, Cork,Wexford, Galway, Sligo, Derry, Tyrone, Donegal and Dublin.
Among the team was Br Columba Jordan, a native of Dublin. Br Columba is the first brother to have joined the community from Ireland. The Friars began in 1987 when eight friars including Fr Benedict and Fr Andrew Apostoli, felt called to set up a new order to work more directly in evangelisation and work for the poor. At a time when vocations in many orders are falling, they have grown to 80 friars over the last 15 years from all over the world attracted by their radical commitment.
