Guide For Young Catholics Going To University
Family publications, which is based in Oxford, has just published

or considering taking a year off. Full of useful addresses for
gap work, Catholic charities organisation and movements in the
Church, as well as advice on sex and relationships, study, work,
accommodation, spiritual life etc, the little book would be
a great present for sixth formers thinking about what they are
going to do next year. Edited by Peter Kahn, the book has contributions
from young people themselves. Price £4.95 + £1.25
postage and packing the book is a available from Good News Books,
15 Barking Close, Luton, Beds LU4 9HG.
Pen Pals For Prisoners
"When I was in prison
.". At the Goodnews
office we quite often get letters, particularly from Africa,
from Christians in prison, who would like pen pals, and to know
that someone cares about them. Conditions in 3rd world prisons
are particularly harsh and prisoners are dependent on family
members to make sure they have sufficient food and extras. Although
it may not be possible to visit these places, writing a letter
can be just as uplifting for someone who has a long sentence
ahead of him. Those who might feel called to this ministry,
please write to us at Goodnews, Allen Hall, 28 Beaufort Street,
London SW3 5AA.
