In the previous issues of Goodnews you will have read about the Consultation for invited leaders from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales that will take place at Newman College, Birmingham, from the 24th to the 26th June 2005. This is an important Consultation not only for those of us in Charismatic Renewal but also for the whole Church.

Unfortunately, space will not allow everyone involved in Charismatic Renewal to be invited to the Consultation, but there are two ways that each person can be involved: first of all by praying for the Consultation; and secondly by taking the time to fill in and return the Questionnaire (see below). It is important that your views are represented and we do want them to be, and it is vital that the preparations for, and the Consultation itself, are surrounded by prayer.

As well as giving thanks to God for all the blessings of the Charismatic Renewal, the aim of the Consultation will be to look briefly at the history of the CCR, and our present situation; to listen to the Lord and each other, seeking direction for the journey ahead; and to encourage and empower all our leaders. This calls for a Process which begins before we gather in Birmingham and involves many more people than those who attend the Consultation itself. It is important to involve EVERYONE in the Process so that it is a genuine Consultation.

We want those who have been invited to the Consultation to talk about the Charismatic Renewal with their groups and communities before they come to Birmingham. At the Consultation we want everyone to share their experience and the views of those they have consulted.

We are asking each reader of Goodnews:

to complete the Questionnaire (see below). The design of the questionnaire ensures that it can be completed fairly quickly;

to list on a separate sheet of paper if you would like to:
a. the blessing of renewal for which you would like to give thanks b. the subjects/topics you consider should be addressed at the Consultation

to pass on the questionnaire to other people you know who have received the Be an angel and complete
grace of Renewal, because we want to involve all of them, whether or not they tne questionnaire see themselves to-day as part of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal.

Before leaving the Consultation, each delegate will be invited to write down the three most important things they feel the Lord has said during the Consultation, including any prophetic words they believe they have had. After the Consultation we will try to discern what the Lord has said to us, and make this widely available.

BE PART OF THE CONSULTATION BY FILLING IN THE QUESTIONNAIRE. IT IS IMPORTANT TO HEAR EVERYONE'S VIEW SO DO DISTRIBUTE THE QUESTIONNAIRE WIDELY.
