THE OTHER HALF

the other half

Sue Whitehead Earlier this year, Charles and I went to two consultations which meant going to Buenos Aires via Los Angeles. That involved quite a lot of flights and airports, especially as we changed flights in Chicago on the way out and Washington on the way back. We were amazed at how smoothly everything went - no hold-ups, no problems and great seats on every flight. So much so that I said to Charles that we had been truly blessed by God in our journeys and that He must have been very pleased with what we were doing to have taken such care of us.

We returned to England and it was time to prepare for Celebrate - our Easter conference.

I do most of the administration on my computer, including printing the badges, registration labels and Easter cards. Well, first of all the computer crashed! That meant I had to surrender it to a young man (who looked about 12yrs old) for over a week, during which I lay awake wondering how long it would take me to do everything by hand! It returned fully restored, where-upon the printer decided it was no longer necessary to obey any instructions, and the scanner joined the rebellion for no apparent reason at all.Having just experienced what I felt was God's loving approval of what we were doing, you will understand that I began to wonder if He wasn't so pleased with Celebrate!

Then I realised that because it was so important to Him, opposition was inevitable! Isn't it fantastic? Christians are in a win-win situation. If all is going well, we are obviously walking with the Lord, and if we know that we are trying to work for Him but problems abound, we can still praise Him, confident that we must be on the right track. So I've been praising the Lord in good and bad times - after all, I love Him, whatever.
