CONGRATULATIONS TO MOTHERS' PRAYERS!
Congratulations to Mothers' Prayer, the prayer movement started
by two English grandmothers, Veronica and Sandra Williams,
which celebrates its 10th anniversary of being on 29th October
2005. The movement which began with just a handful of mothers
praying for their children has now spread to 80 countries
and their handbook has been printed in 20 languages. Two offshoots
have also resulted in recent years - Fathers' Prayers and
Children of Faith. A community has also formed at the centre
of the movement called Solace, which has its headquarters
in the beautiful Star House in Kent. The movement was featured
on Songs of Praise last year, and the production team was
so impressed by what they saw that they helped Mothers Prayers
to make a very professional video for people interested in
knowing about their work explaining how to set up a Mothers'
Prayers group. Further details from: Mothers' Prayers, Star
House, Star Hill, Dunton Green, Sevenoaks, TN14 6HA. Tel 01959

CARDINAL'S MASS IN NOVEMBER 2005!
In March 2003 one of the highlights of the year for the Catholic
Charismatic Renewal was a special Mass in Westminster Cathedral
with Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor. Almost 3000 people from
all over the country packed the cathedral, as a sign of support
for the cardinal and a witness of solidarity and a desire
to serve the Church. This year, on Saturday, 19th November
2005 at 2.30pm there will be a another such Mass, and those
in parishes, prayer groups, communities or any other groups
serving the Church are invited to come and share this special
Mass with us. PLEASE DO COME!

POPE INVITES LAY MOVEMENTS AND ECCLESIAL COMMUNITIES TO
ROME FOR PENTECOST 2006!
Pope Benedict XVI, like his predecessor, Pope John Paul II
did in 1998, is calling members of the lay movements and communities
to join him in St Peter's Square on 3rd June 2006 for a special
Pentecost vigil. Pope Benedict, is a great supporter of the
movements and sees they have a special role in the Church
today. ICCRS is organising an international conference to
run alongside this from 5th-8th June 2006, details to follow.
