The European sub-committee of ICCRS has just published a very helpful study/ prayer booklet for people to reflect on the inspiring and challenging apostolic exortation "Ecclesia in Europa". Ideal for individuals and groups the booklet, which has extracts from the document and scripture readings was prepared by Barbara Mason and Kees Slijkerman, with prayers from young leaders in Europe. Ecclesia in Europa, which contains Pope John Paul II's reflections following the 2nd European Bishops synod, gives pastoral guide lines and priorities for the Church at this time in our history when Europe has become very much a spiritual wilderness. The document, while being realistic is not pessimistic and encourages the Church not to be afraid because in Christ is the Hope for a New Europe.
