NEW DVD FOR PARISHES TEACHING NATURAL FERTILITY AWARENESS

bookThe Luton Good Counsel group in conjunction with CTS has brought out a fantastic resource for those running marriage preparation courses for couples in Catholic parishes. "The Joy of God's Plan" has short testimonies and comments by a wide range of married couples who use natural family planning and an excellent and sensitive talk by Fr David Barratt, a young priest from the Northampton diocese explaining the positive side of the Catholic Church's teaching on sex and marriage. This is backed up by a biological explanation of the workings of the human body and how natural fertility awareness works in practice. The DVD comes with a booklet and suggestions of how it might be used as an evening session, both for those contemplating marriage and for use in schools with teenagers, who would bene?t from knowing the material. The project was the inspiration of Archbishop Kevin McDonald of Southwark, when he was the bishop of Northampton, and his desire to make the Church's teaching more widely available in the diocese. The DVD will be launched at Westminster Cathedral Hall, Ambrosden Avenue, SW1 on 31st January 2007 at 6pm-7.30pm at an evening hosted by Archbishop Kevin and Bishop Bernard Longley (Westminster).
