SUMMER BIBLE SCHOOL IN INDIA
Fr Fio Mascarenhas SJ runs an annual summer bible school in
Mumbai every year. Tuition is free and costs are very low
and it's a good opportunity to experience some of India too.
This year the dates are 2nd July to 18th August. The school
is done in modules so you can go for the whole seven weeks
or just opt for the courses you want. Topics covered include

NEW BOOK ABOUT THE CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC RENEWAL!
To mark the 40th anniversary of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal,
Cyril John, the chair person of the National Service Committee
of India has written a balanced and informed book about it
called "Spurred by the Spirit".
In the book, which is an easy read, he explains the nature
of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and looks at questions
such as what is baptism in the Holy Spirit, The Life in the
Spirit seminars and the goals and aims of CCR. He also reflects
on the contribution of the CCR to the Church and some of the
challenges it faces. Although speaking from the Indian context,
with an interesting section on some of the particular expressions
of CCR in India, his overall wisdom has relevance for those
involved in Charismatic Renewal everywhere or anyone who wants
a book to give to others to explain what it is.

CAMPERS NEED TO PRE-REGISTER FOR NEW DAWN
The camping site at the New Dawn conference which takes place
every summer at Walsingham has got so crowded in recent years
that this year the organisers are asking people who want to
camp to pre-register for the conference to be sure of securing
a berth. There is also good news for those without a car.
A coach will be going from Liverpool as well as from London.
