CONGRATULATIONS FR JIMMY COLLINS 90TH BIRTHDAY
Fr Jimmy Collins, the famous Liverpudlian
Catholic priest, whose story we feature on page 4, this month
celebrates his 90th birthday. Friends and supporters are invited
to special birthday Mass celebration on monday 28th January
at his old parish of St Joseph the Worker in Kirkby, Liverpool
at 7.30pm.

PRAYER GROUPS NO LONGER MENTIONED
IN COMING EVENTS
More and more prayer groups have
been contacting us wanting us to mention their prayer group
in our coming events section. Unfortunately the demand for
this has become so great that we can’t fit them all in
now, as we feel we need to give priority to one-off dated
or monthly events. So please accept our apologies for this.
We will endeavour, however to mention a new prayer group that
has just started under the title “NEW PRAYER GROUPS”
in the coming events section for a couple of issues to publicise
its opening. Also in the light of the many visitors passing
through London, we will also keep the details of the Westminster
Cathedral prayer group and the Cockfosters group in. all other
details of groups we will keep on file at the office or people
can contact the Goodnews information contacts on P35. The
new Westminster contact is Vincent Turner.
ELIZABETH WANG PAINTINGS AVAILABLE

WINTERSHALL LIFE OF CHRIST
10TH ANNIVERSARY
The wonderful pageant that celebrates
the Life of Christ, which takes place in the open air in the
grounds of Wintershall estate every summer, this year marks
its 10th anniversary. Featured in the BBC’s Songs of
Praise last autumn, the organisers are expecting even more
numbers than usual this year and it will be performed six
times from 24th June to 29th June 2008. Ideal for groups.
