“I WANT TO GO TO HEAVEN WHEN I DIE”

Fr Thaddeus Doyle, the Irish priest behind the very popular monthly magazine “The Curate’s Diary” and several best selling books and pamphlets, last month published his latest and what he believes is his most significant book, “I Want to go to Heaven when I Die”. The book tells the personal witnesses of people’s near death experiences and the results that these have had on their lives. They include that of George Rodonaia, an atheist who was assassinated by the KGB, and whose body was in the mortuary for three days, but who came alive when his autopsy was about to begin. Not only did he become a Christian afterwards but a priest in the Orthodox Church. Using amazing witnesses like this, and others of people who have had dramatic life changing conversions, Fr Doyle reflects on the nature of God’s love, purgatory and judgement. In his simple direct way, he also shows how an ordinary person can live a life of deep union with Jesus. He believes that the Lord has called him to write the book and is asking people to pray that it would come under God’s anointing so that many unbelievers would be converted and those who have fallen away would return to the Lord. Price £6.50 plus £1.50 p&p from Goodnews Books 01582 571011 or visit www.goodnewsbooks.net

The book is simple but sensible and looks the origins of exorcism in the Gospels and its practice in the Church today. Different kinds of demonic influence are discussed including their relation to conversion and sin and mental illness. A very positive book. Price £1.95 plus p&p from Goodnews Books.
