It has been very encouraging to add new people to our intercessors list each month. As Gerry Gallacher wrote in the last issue of GoodNews, God is calling everyone who is listening, to rebuild, to intercede and to evangelise with great boldness. Fruitfulness in all these three areas will only come as we pray for Gods power and anointing together. We are not isolated stones, scattered and on our own. We are stones that the Lord wants to be drawn together with a new mortar, which is the power of the Holy Spirit, making one wall around the city. Lord rebuild your church! How are we to rebuild? As we see our country being shaken up we need to pray that the faith temperature of the church will increase! Paul and Silas sang praise to God and they saw chains break and the doors of the prison open (acts 16) Ps. 46 v 5-6 says, God is in that city, and so it will not be shaken. God will help her at dawn. Nations tremble and kingdoms shake. God shouts and the earth quakes. Clinging on to Jesus we will not be shaken. He alone is our foundation, for no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid which is Jesus Christ 1Cor 3v 11 We should be reminded again of the prophecies given at St Peters Basilica in Rome in 1975 I will strip you of everything you are depending on now so you depend just on me. A time of darkness is coming on the world, but a time of glory is coming for my church, a time of glory is coming for my people. Let us take seriously our call and look forward to the future glory! |
