COMINGS AND GOINGS AT THE NSC
We say goodbye to Chris Power from Rochdale who has served
on the NSC since 2001. We thank him for all his hard work
for us over this time and we will particularly miss the vibrant
praise and worship he led us in during our meetings. We welcome
Matt van Duyvenbode, who has been involved in youth work in
the Church for many years and is on the leadership team of
Network, which gathers leaders involved in evangelizing youth
in the CCR. Fiona Hendy is on sabbatical for six months in
New Zealand so please pray for her and the House of the Open
Door in her absence.
CTS TO PUBLISH “ROAD TO PENTECOST”
As you will remember last year’s “Road to Pentecost”
booklet was a huge success and we ended up selling 15,000
copies and ran out. This year hopefully the booklet will reach
out even further as the Catholic Truth Society (CTS) are going
to publish it in a slightly amended format and publicize it
in their catalogue. Our readers will still be able to buy
the booklet from us, at a special discount price of £1
per copy plus postage. Please pray for the success of this
venture and that the message of the power of Pentecost will
permeate the whole of the Church.

Elizabeth Patricia “Liz” Relf, chairperson of
the Welsh National Service Committee (1994-2001) died on 16th
August this year. She was responsible for among other things,
organising with a team the annual charismatic conference at
Carmarthen for many years. She did all this despite poor health.
She will be remembered for her leadership qualities and her
sense of humour and her gift of laughter which she never lost.
Four priests celebrated the funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church,
Swansea and as well as many people from the Welsh CCR, three
past Welsh NSC chairpersons were also present.
CELEBRATE THE NEW YEAR AT A GIANT CATHOLIC PRAISE EVENT

A team led by Enda Devine, the chairman of the London
Day of Renewal, has hired the Friends Meeting House opposite
Euston Station in London for a big New Year’s Eve celebration
called “Lift Jesus High”. The evening will begin
at 9pm with a vibrant, joyful Mass and end around 3 am, so
with buses not stopping until 4.30am plenty of time to get
