PASSION PLAY IN TRAFALGAR SQUARE
Peter Hutley, who has been responsible for the very successful
Life of Christ pageant which takes place on his
estate at Wintershall every year, has managed a real coup
in getting permission to stage a 1 ½ hour play on Good
Friday (2nd April) in Trafalgar Square. This will begin at
3.15pm and will be a free event. Rehearsals will take place
for an hour or so beforehand. About 100 members of the Wintershall
cast will participate. The play will begin with the Triumphal
Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem from Lord Nelsons column
to the northern steps opposite the National Gallery and St
Martin in the Fields will be location of Pilates palace.
The play will include some of Jesus miracles, His trial
and crucifixion and the Resurrection. Peter Hutley comments,
I know from our experience at Wintershall, the amazing
impact the visual and live actors have on people who dont
regularly go to church and what better place to show the story
than Trafalgar Square.

HEAL OUR LAND FESTIVAL OF LIGHT 2
Jimmy and Carole Owens musicals Come Together
and If My People have played a significant role
in past renewal movements including the 1971 Festival of Light
in the UK when 35,000 Christians gathered in Trafalgar Square
and 100,000 gathered in Hyde Park to pray for the nation.
Heal our Land is their latest musical, which is
being used as an interactive prayer and mobilization event
this year round the country, focusing in particular on London,
Birmingham and Liverpool. Various ecumenical prayer movements
are backing the venture, which they hope will be a catalyst
for prayer and repentance for the nation. See Coming Events
