Catholic Miracle Rally: A Testimony
Stephen Cade of Cor et Lumen Christi Community shares how his faith was set on fire after attending a Catholic Miracle Rally.
When my mum asked if I would like come with her to the Catholic Miracle Rally, run by Cor et Lumen Christi Community, I must admit I did not really want to go; the event was being run in London, and it would not be easy to get there, especially on a Saturday.
Whilst I had many reasons for not going, in my mind there was still a curiosity about the word "miracle". I had heard the word many times, about the miracles in the Bible and in the lives of the many popular Catholic Saints. However, I had neither seen nor experienced a miracle in my life, and I was intrigued.
Despite having a nasty cold, we travelled the 25 miles into Euston, London. The event was very well attended and we managed to get a good seat.
After Holy Mass, we went back into the main hall and sang a few worship songs whilst waiting for the speaker to come to the stage. After a ten minute delay, Damian Stayne came onto the stage, and informed us that the speaker was unable to come, so instead we would have a “Holy Spirit time.”
God spoke to my heart
I did not know what this was, but we were told to stand, relax, hold out our hands and close our eyes, and wait for the Holy Spirit to come. In that moment, I had an experience which, I believed, was God speaking in my heart.
The voice said “lift up your right hand”. When I did so, I felt the handle of a sword being placed in my hand. I said "Thank you."
I then heard the voice again say to me “lift up your left hand.” When I did so, I felt a book being placed in my hand, which I believed to be the Bible. At this moment, I heard the Lord say these words in my heart: “The sword of the spirit is the word of God and I have given these to you”.
I was so overwhelmed by this experience, as up to this point I had only hoped God was real. After this experience, I knew God was real. It was as if God were saying to me: now you know I am real, what are you going to do?
This experience-my miracle- was the beginning of a new adventure with God. God had revealed Himself to me in such a way that I can never deny that He is real and exists. I know He truly cares about each of us.
Witnessing Hundreds of Physical Healing Miracles
It was the first time I had had such an experience, which eventually led me and my future wife to join Cor et Lumen Christi Community.
Since this time, I have attended other Catholic Miracle Rallies, where Damian Stayne has led healing services.
I have personally witnessed hundreds of physical healing miracles, including the lame walking, the deaf hearing, the blind seeing and cancerous tumours disappearing, all in the name of Jesus. Indeed, Jesus promised such things would characterise Christian ministry: “The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised..” (Matthew 11:5)
God has also used me in many ways to bless people including prophecy, deliverance and physical healing. At one Miracle Service in the USA, (see picture at top of article) I prayed for the gentleman in the red top, who said he had 90% hearing loss in one ear and needed a hearing aid. After the prayer, he could now hear without his hearing aid.
