Trust In The Lord: A Word For 2021

Ros Powell shares a word she received for the year 2021.

As we enter into 2021, this is the Scripture that I feel the Lord has impressed upon my heart:

Proverbs 3:5-6: ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In ALL your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.’

We need to focus on TRUST in this season:

Trust in and rely on the Lord's direction and wisdom as we go deeper in our relationship with Him, and know that He will direct your steps.

Trust also in the many promises found in His word (over 8,000 promises in the Bible), acknowledging him as 'The Lord who sits on the throne of our hearts’.

We should aim to be living “On earth as it is in heaven”, setting our minds and hearts on things above, with a heavenly perspective on all we do as we ponder the light of eternity.

2 Corinthians 4:18 tells us to fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Allow these eternal words to root in your heart, for they have the power to change the way we think and live. In the days ahead, remember your eternal home in heaven, which is our final destination.

Continually praise God because ‘It’s only just begun’!
